"A Filmmaking Journey Into Nature"

Esalen Institute, Big Sur, California
July 2-7, 2006

This workshop was part of Esalen's annual Summer Arts Festival, and focused on using the camera as a way of exploring the environment that surrounds us. And the natural environment at Esalen proved to be full of beauty, magic, contemplation and insight. Here's what participants had to say:

"An amazing experience which has helped me learn about filmmaking, myself, and interacting with other people."

"I had a great time and I thank the teacher will all my heart."

"Loved this workshop!"

"The workshop was awesome. Inspiring and informative."

"A perfect introduction to the art of filmmaking, enough to know where to go next."

"I had a fabulous time--we really bonded as a tribe."

"Andy gave more than 100% to the class. He created a good group cohesiveness, and helped each of us through our own barriers--learned, efficient, open, inspiring and exceptionally talented."

"A wonderful experience filled with excitement and discovery. I learned the art of making a film from the heart."

We'll be offering an intensive version of this workshop at Esalen again in September 2007. Clich here for details.
